Zuru Emirate: Emir of Zuru conclude tour of his Emirate

The Emir of Zuru Maj. Gen. (Dr.) Muhammadu Sani Sami, Sami Gomo II has concluded his tour of the Emirate. The tour is second of its kind since he ascended the throne in 1995. During the tour, he visited the five Chiefdom Headquarters as well as the twenty District Headquarters of the Emirate.

In each of the Palaces visited, the Emir emphasized on the traditional security system as earlier directed by his council to complement the efforts of State and Federal Government in checkmating security challenges in the Emirate. He also commended the efforts of the State Government under the Leadership of Sen. Atiku Bagudu in roads construction, renovation of schools and healthcare centers, portable water supply as well as supply of fertilizer at affordable prices. 

He therefore called on the people to utilize these amenities judiciously. He further urged the people most especially the youths to reduce over dependence on government and engaged in self - reliance activities. While in Dirindaji, Sakaba Chiefdom he visited gully erosion site which is about to cut – off the township and Mamman Diri General Hospital, at Maga he visited the empty Health Care Center that needed immediate attention of the government in the provision of furniture and qualified health workers, more-so at Marafa, Fakai Chiefdom he visited the collapsed earth dam which hinders dry season farming and water supply in the area. 

The Emir then appealed to State Government as a matter of urgency to intervene and address the above mentioned challenges.

In their addresses the Chiefs and Districts Heads visited narrated their achievements and challenges to the Emir and further solicit for his intervention in some areas. Common among the challenges were the construction of mini earth dams to encourage dry season farming, additional provision of portable water, healthcare delivery and constructions of feeder roads in their areas.
