Rikoto youth protest against N30m substandard fed.constituency project

We're the youths under the aegis of Dabai United Youth Forum expressing our anger over a fictitious award of bridge contract at the cost of 30m that's captured in the federal constituency projects and is also at completion stage by the community effort. In his reaction, a community youth leader Bamaiyi Aniko Dabai expressed his anger over how politicians hijack community resources meant forcommunity development.

In his response, one of the community elders (name withheld) said sand was only put on top of our project and they want to tell us that is all about the money released. So 30m is gone. In his reaction, the District head of Rikoto Alh Muhammad shehu Rikoto (Bandi) said though there has been efforts as regards to the project and expressed his anger over how protesting youths failed to wait for the outcome of their meeting with some community leaders.

He further asked some youth leaders about what they read at tertiary institution regarding their experience with the project. Though, the response seems to annoy the youths because he said "Ali kansila can withdraw the project " but Atom Turba Ishaku (Youth spokesman) wondered how a project that's captured in the federal constituency projects can be withdrawn.And later, the District head expressed his anger too over the handling of the project.

However Murtala Muhammad Isgogo, Usman Abubakar, Emmanuel K Bawa and others said there's no going back to ensure that the project is done to standard.
