The Emir of
Zuru Maj. Gen. (Dr.) Muhammadu Sani Sami Sami Gomo II has received high powered
delegation from Imo State under the leadership of His Majesty Eze Samuel Ogunwa
(Eze Imo) Chairman Council of Chiefs Imo State and south east Coordinator
National Council of Traditional Rulers of Nigeria.
Speaking at
the Palace the Leader of the team said they are in Zuru to thank His Royal
Highness The Emir of Zuru for the title of MABUDIN
ZURU he gave to His Excellency the Governor of Imo State Mr. Rochas Okorocha.
He added that the Governor want another date for the turban because he
cannot make it on Uhola Day as scheduled due to some pressing issues.
Responding
to the issue, the Emir of Zuru says award of the title became important due to the contribution of the Governor in
educational development in the country as well as his philanthropic attitude towards
the North.
Other
members of the delegation include H.R.H Eze Chidume Okoro Traditional Ruler of
Amano Obihia Auto Community, H.R.H Eze Ceaser Durvebuso Traditional Ruler of
Amazamo Auto Community, H.R.H Eze Eric Uchegbu Traditional Ruler of Nneano Agbaja
Auto Community and Honorable Faisal
Lawal S.A to Governor of Imo State on Northern affairs and Hajj Matters.
Zuru Emirate honours Imo state Gov.Rochas,Turbans him the "MABUDIN ZURU"
